The Junior IT Support Specialist provides first-level technical support, assists with daily IT operations, and maintains IT assets and documentation. This entry-level role supports the IT Infrastructure Specialist and IT Manager by handling routine support tasks, ensuring timely resolution of user requests, and contributing to ISO 27001 compliance. The position offers exposure to IT infrastructure and security practices, with opportunities for learning and growth within the team.

What You'll Be Doing
- Provide first-level IT support, resolving routine issues and escalating when needed.
- Set up, configure, and maintain PCs, peripherals, and business applications.
- Assist with Windows 11 installation, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Support networking basics such as LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, cabling, and connectivity checks.
- Assist with Windows Server administration tasks under supervision (account management, routine checks, patching).
- Handle user account administration in Active Directory.
- Maintain the IT asset register and keep inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Prepare new equipment for deployment (imaging, updates, configuration).
- Keep IT documentation, logs, and compliance records updated for ISO 27001.
- Support procurement tasks like sourcing equipment and following up with vendors.
About You
- Strong interest in IT with basic knowledge of hardware, operating systems, and networking.
- Familiarity with Windows Server concepts and willingness to grow server administration skills.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Customer service mindset, able to communicate clearly and politely with users.
- Problem-solving attitude, able to tackle issues before escalating to senior staff.
- Understanding of antivirus, password policies, and basic IT security concepts.
- Bonus points if you've been exposed to helpdesk/ticketing systems, procurement, remote support tools (RDP, TeamViewer, Citrix), or Azure.
