About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented construction professional to join our team in a hybrid role combining Project Engineer, Estimating Coordinator, and Reporting Manager responsibilities. This role is central to ensuring project execution runs smoothly, estimating efforts are supported with accuracy, and company reporting is delivered consistently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with general contractors, excellent document management skills, and the ability to leverage technology to streamline workflows.

What you'll do

Project Engineer

● Manage document control, including drawings, bulletins, and updates.

● Document meeting minutes using transcription tools and distribute to the team.

● Conduct quality control reviews on submittals and RFIs; input and manage within Procore.

● Assist project managers in generating change events and change orders in Procore.

● Maintain and update procurement logs, aligning with submittal status in Procore and comparing against project schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Estimating Coordinator

● Set up jobs in Procore, upload bid documents, and generate bid packages.

● Distribute bid packages to subcontractors and ensure all documents are received.

● Proactively follow up with subcontractors via email and phone to confirm bidding participation.

● Manage bidding RFIs, ensuring timely distribution to all bidders.

● Receive bids, document status, and organize them in the appropriate folders.

● Conduct initial leveling of bids and input data into bid evaluation templates.

● Generate subcontractor scopes of work and assist in scope alignment.

● Perform quantity takeoffs to support estimating and bid review.

Reporting Manager

● Follow weekly and monthly reporting schedules.

● Collect data from Procore, emails, and project teams to generate consistent company reports.

● Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and formatting consistency in all reports.

What You Bring

● 5+ years of experience working with a general contractor.

● Strong ability to review and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications.

● Proven track record in project engineering, estimating coordination, or reporting roles.

● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills.

● Ability to work independently in a remote environment, while maintaining accountability and responsiveness.

● Experience utilizing Artificial Intelligence tools such as OpenAI / ChatGPT

● Experience using Process Automation Tools such as , n8n or Zapier is a plus

● Experience with Microsoft Power BI is a plus

Software & Tools

● Procore (project management and document control).

● Bluebeam (drawing review and markups).

● Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

● AI tools such as ChatGPT for transcription, drafting, and process optimization.

Preferred Attributes

● Ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and internal team members.

● Interest in leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.
