Qualifications:

  • Engineering graduate or equivalent with min. 5 years relevant working experience in engineering capacity, functions.
  • Min 5 years relevant experience working in engineering functions, capability.
  • Experience in automotive parts supplier manufacturing is a definite advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills which make him/her capable of influencing suppliers by himself
  • Can read and interpret drawings and 3D CAD correctly
  • Familiarity and practical knowledge on ISO 9001:2015
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office application
  • Effective communication skills to all levels in the organization
  • Can work with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity on the proper use and operation of dimensional inspection equipment, machines and gages
  • Strong work ethic
  • Can provide appropriate disposition to blocked parts
  • knowledge in SAP IP, QM and FM is an advantage
  • knowledge in FIT, GD&T, technical drawing
  • Min 5 years' experience in diecasting mold inspection and qualification
  • Familiar with different manufacturing processes such as plastic molding, plating, extrusion, stamping and the like.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of IQA inspectors on the inspection of incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and collaborate with supplier and internal team to address quality issues.
  • Verification of material defects detected at incoming inspection using established criteria, standard, and customer specific requirements.
  • Provide timely disposition for non-conforming materials. Ensure that affected materials are properly contained at supplier`s warehouse, in transit, and production line of ZAMA.
  • Communicate with supplier the observed defects and require submission of 8D Report.
  • Issuance of Quality Notice to suppliers with valid material defects.
  • Works with supplier in closing measurement correlation topics, including alignment on visual criteria.
  • Review of 8D Reports submitted by supplier. Follow-up supplier on the closure of quality issues.
  • Incoming inspection of sample materials to support new product qualification.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in the current IQA system and work with cross functional teams to address the issues.
  • Ensure that there is sufficient inventory of raw materials to support production requirements.
  • Coach IQA inspectors and technicians for the team to perform their tasks effectively.
  • Supervises and monitors subordinate team in order to ensure maximum level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor the team`s KPI and drive for achievement of goals.
  • Communicate actual KPI results to the members of the team.
  • Ensures that quality, safety and health protocols are implemented, complied and maintained by the IQA team.
