Job Summary

As an Asset Servicing Assistant Vice President within the Wealth Management Operations team, you will collaborate with global business and operations teams to efficiently manage corporate and class actions across multiple markets. You will play a pivotal role in driving strategic projects, operational excellence, and digital transformation. This role demands strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure seamless execution in a complex and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full life cycle of corporate actions (mandatory, voluntary, and choice), ensuring accurate and timely processing to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee class actions, proxy, and structured products from initiation through resolution, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Drive performance management, staff development, training, and adherence to operational controls and policies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and career development, aligning personal growth with organizational goals.
  • Mentor and coach team members, encouraging professional growth and skill enhancement.
  • Collaborate with Custody teams, Operations groups, Technology, and transformation teams to enhance processes and support automation initiatives.
  • Lead through effective communication, influence, and people management to achieve results.
  • Manage KPIs to ensure timeliness, quality, and operational excellence in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proactively manage escalations, promote process improvements, identify risks, and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Build and maintain an effective control environment, including key operational controls, governance reviews, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Asset Servicing and Securities Markets.
  • Proficiency in SWIFT messages and financial markets operations.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision and act as the first point of escalation for complex issues.
  • Proven ability to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in operational processes.
  • Knowledge of risk and control regulations, with ability to implement and monitor compliance.
  • Ability to identify and drive process improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to monitor, track, and resolve queries within deadlines.
  • Experience in training and onboarding new joiners.
  • Strong analytical and detail orientation with high accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including decision-making, problem-solving, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Assertive, with the ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Strong team player with interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships across geographies and functions.
  • High adaptability: ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver under stringent deadlines.
