Job Summary

The Planning Engineer is responsible for preparing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules, estimates, and progress reports. This role ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to approved specifications. The ideal candidate must have solid experience in project planning, scheduling, estimating, plumbing, pipe laying, civil works, and road works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to track and update progress.
  • Analyze project performance and prepare reports on schedule delays, cost variances, and productivity.
  • Assist in procurement planning, manpower allocation, and resource leveling.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings and provide accurate planning updates to management.
  • Support in the preparation of tender documents, quantity take-offs, and technical proposals.
  • Recommend corrective actions for any schedule deviations and monitor implementation of recovery plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Licensed Civil Engineer (preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling for construction projects (building, plumbing, pipe laying, civil, and road works).
  • Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD and other relevant planning/estimating tools.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and project sequencing.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Willing to relocate anywhere.
