Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Finance and Accounting Head with a strong background in the construction industry. The role will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial strategy, accounting operations, cash flow, project cost management, compliance, and risk management. This leader will play a key role in guiding business decisions by providing accurate financial insights and ensuring effective financial controls tailored to the unique demands of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support company goals and project growth.
  • Advise senior management on financial planning, forecasting, and investment opportunities.
  • Lead budgeting and financial planning processes across multiple projects.

Accounting & Compliance

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Construction Project Finance Management

  • Monitor and control project budgets, expenditures, and cost allocations.
  • Evaluate contract terms, billing, and collections related to construction projects.
  • Implement project cost control systems to track profitability and cash flow.
  • Coordinate with project managers and procurement teams on financial planning.

Risk & Audit Management

  • Establish strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Manage audits, banking relationships, and financial risk exposure.
  • Ensure accurate financial documentation and reporting for stakeholders.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
  • Build capacity and strengthen systems to support company growth.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in construction, engineering, or real estate development industries is required.
  • Expertise in project cost control, financial planning, and contract management.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR compliance, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in financial software, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
