About the role

The HR Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the overall strategy, execution, and management of all Human Resources functions. This role is accountable for building and sustaining a proactive, high-performance culture while ensuring strict compliance with all Philippine Labor Laws and company policies. The successful candidate must transition the HR function from reactive support to a strategic business partner.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic HR & Leadership

  • Design, implement, and lead the company-wide Performance Management System (PMS).
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the Executive Team on workforce planning, organizational design, succession, and change management.
  • Manage the HR budget and oversee outsourced vendors to ensure service quality, cost efficiency, and data accuracy.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team to deliver high-quality HR services.

Compliance, Policy & Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with DOLE regulations and all mandatory government requirements.
  • Review and approve disciplinary actions, PIPs, grievances, and termination cases to mitigate legal risks.
  • Lead the annual review and communication of the Employee Handbook and core HR policies.
  • Design and deliver management training on performance management, policy enforcement, and legal compliance.

Compensation, Benefits & Employee Relations

  • Conduct salary benchmarking and compensation analysis to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Lead total rewards strategy, including benefits and incentives administration.
  • Oversee complex employee relations cases, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives using insights from surveys and exit interviews.

People Operations & Office Administration

  • Lead office administration staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Oversee office facilities, vendors, budgets, and expense approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with labor, health and safety, and internal company policies.
  • Resolve escalated workplace, facilities, and administrative concerns.

Qualification

  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a Managerial, preferably in a BPO, Shared Services, or fast-growing Philippine-based company.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Law, or a related field.
  • Legal Expertise: In-depth, practical knowledge of Philippine Labor Law (especially termination procedures, due process, and benefits mandates) is non-negotiable.
  • Skills: Proven expertise in designing and implementing Performance Management Systems and leading L&D initiatives. Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
