KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review job cost coding and ensure costs are posted to correct projects
  • Review and approve project-related journal entries and accruals
  • Supervise  AP/AR staff
  • Review staff work for accuracy in job costing and billing
  • Train staff on construction accounting practices and accounting system
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching
  • Oversee subcontractor and vendor invoice processing
  • Ensure invoices match purchase orders, contracts
  • Review payment applications.
  • Oversee subcontractor and vendor invoice processing
  • Oversee progress billing and pay application preparation
  • Monitor AR aging by project and follow up on collections
  • Prepare and review Profit & Loss per project
  • Review revenue recognition and backlog reporting
  • Ensure labor costs are correctly allocated to jobs
  • Maintain and optimize construction Qucikbooks System
  • Support estimating teams with historical cost data
  • Lead month-end close
  • Encode bi monthly admin & corporate payroll
  • Monthly Bank Reconciliation
  • Generate approved contract code.
  • Client and Supplier Management
  • Monitor AP Aging
  • Monitor Loan Dues

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College in any Accounting related course
  • extensive experience in preparation of Financial Statements
  • With three (3) years minimum of work experience in accounting operation
  • Highly knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and adept in the use of MS Office Applications especially MS Excel. Quickbooks experience is preferred.
  • CPA is an advantage
  • Proficient in performance of account reconciliations
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload
  • Quick learner and self-motivated
  • Strong analytical, written / verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
  • Methodical and organized
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes
  • A team player who is collaborative yet able to work independently
