Position Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor for General Accounting is responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records and reports. This position supervises accounting personnel, maintains compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and supports management in strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the General Accounting Section, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant government regulations (e.g., BIR, SEC, BOC).
  • Review and validate accounting entries to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, statutory reports, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing necessary schedules and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting systems, procedures, and controls for improved efficiency.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluation to accounting staff.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of financial data and compliance with accounting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) , an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of solid experience in general accounting or financial reporting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior accounting role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), taxation, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with accounting systems such as SAP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP software is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Saturday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
