The Inventory Data Analyst is responsible for the monthly analysis and validation of vessels' victualling rate performance, a key driver of the company's gross profit. This role ensures accurate monitoring of stock usage, cost efficiency, and inventory variances to support profitability and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the vessels / ship has the right and accurate stock and inventory level through detailed scrutiny of variables such as purchases orders, consumption level, wastage, and stock availability to name a few with the mindfulness of cost and profit efficiency.
  • Monthly verification of consumption value through the analysis of the manning and stock / inventory reports submitted by the assigned vessels
  • Detailed analysis on high consumption levels, to optimize performance and ensure sufficient stock on-board
  • Effective communication and collaboration with all departments across the business to ensure efficient query resolution
  • Ensuring timely and accurate validation of the vessel's receipt against the purchase order

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. Has a 2 - 5 years of Experience in using ERP systems for inventory and stock management (no physical inventory counting required, pure system monitoring experience is required).
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and validate data accurately.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP ERP and other data management tools.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  6. Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective coordination across departments.
  7. Experience in the food, shipping or maritime industry is an advantage
