Job Summary

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing inventory levels to support efficient warehouse and supply chain operations. This role ensures inventory accuracy, minimizes stock discrepancies, prevents stockouts or overstocking, and supports data-driven decision-making through reporting and analysis.

Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management & Control

  • Monitor daily inventory levels across warehouses and distribution points
  • Conduct inventory analysis to identify variances, slow-moving, obsolete, and fast-moving items
  • Ensure accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and overages

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze inventory data, usage trends, turnover rates, and demand forecasts
  • Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports (aging, variance, shrinkage, turnover)
  • Maintain inventory dashboards and KPIs to support management decisions
  • Provide recommendations to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency

Warehouse & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, logistics, and operations teams
  • Support replenishment planning and purchase order analysis
  • Ensure proper inventory flow from receiving to storage, picking, and dispatch
  • Assist in improving warehouse layout, storage utilization, and inventory movement

System & Process Improvement

  • Maintain and update inventory data in ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems
  • Assist in implementing inventory control procedures and best practices
  • Support audits and compliance with internal controls and company policies
  • Identify process gaps and recommend continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in inventory analysis, warehouse operations, or supply chain roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)
  • Experience with ERP or WMS systems is an advantage
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
