Growth Operations Software Engineer

N8 Fire & Safety is seeking a highly organized, tech-driven professional to help implement AI tools, automation platforms, and operational systems that improve efficiency, communication, and customer satisfaction across the company. This remote role focuses on building automated workflows, integrating software platforms, documenting processes, and enhancing our internal systems so our teams can operate faster, smoother, and more accurately.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.), automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n), and productivity systems such as Microsoft 365 and Asana. They should also be comfortable drafting SOPs, training materials, and handbooks as part of our ongoing growth.

Compensation:

$9 - $12 hourly

Responsibilities:

AI & Automation Implementation

• Design, build, and optimize automated workflows using Zapier, Make, n8n, or similar tools.
• Integrate AI tools into daily operations (ChatGPT, Copilot, automation bots, AR follow-ups, form generators, email assistants, etc.).
• Evaluate new software and AI solutions that can improve efficiency, accuracy, or customer satisfaction.
• Automate repetitive tasks across scheduling, AR, reporting, CRM workflows, email routing, etc.

Systems Integration & Process Building

• Set up and maintain Asana, including automations, templates, and task pipelines.
• Improve and streamline systems inside Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• Connect tools like QuickBooks, CRM systems, and scheduling software to reduce manual entry.
• Monitor workflow performance and troubleshoot integration issues.

** SOPs, Training, & Documentation **

• Create clear and professional training procedures, how-to guides, and process documentation.
• Develop internal handbooks, user guides, and onboarding materials for new processes.
• Record screen-share tutorials and step-by-step walkthroughs for staff training.
• Update documents as systems evolve.

Operational Support & Optimization

• Analyze bottlenecks and recommend technology-based solutions.
• Support various departments by implementing tools that reduce workload and improve communication (field service, office admin, accounting, alarms/sprinkler/kitchen divisions).
• Assist leadership in mapping workflows and improving operational efficiency.
• Track KPIs for new automations and report results to management.

Quality, Customer Experience & Compliance

• Ensure new automations protect data accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Build customer-facing improvements such as automated reminders, onboarding, follow-ups, and review requests.
• Assist with maintaining consistent branding and messaging within automated systems.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience with AI tools and automation platforms (ChatGPT, Zapier, Make, n8n).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Excel automation, Teams, and Asana.
• Strong ability to understand and document business processes.
• Experience creating SOPs, training manuals, and procedural handbooks.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
• Bonus: Experience in fire protection, construction, or service-based industries.
