Job Title: QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR

QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR _ JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring that the quality tasks, policies, procedures, and systems are implemented and adhered to by the plant and that these consistently conform to McDonald's quality requirements on Food Safety and Government Regulatory Agencies. The function is recognized in the plant and is given the authority to hold / reject non-conforming products and to stop the line in coordination with the QA and Production team.

Responsibilities:

1. Team Management:

2. Supervise and lead a QA team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective execution of QA tasks.

3. Process Development:

4. Develop, implement, and maintain QA processes and standards, ensuring they align with industry best practices and organizational goals.

5. Conduct departmental audits as per SQMS and set internal SOPs to evaluate and assure adherence to requirements and ensure action plans are in place to close gaps. Report any findings and recommendations accurately and timely.

6. Responsible for evaluating situations/concerns affecting system and product quality, hence; review, revise existing policies and/or create one.

7. Testing and Analysis:

8. Create and execute test cases and plans, perform manual and automated testing, and analyze results to identify defects and potential issues.

9. Monitor the system in compliance with McDonald's Specifications and identify deficiencies in any food product.
10. Provide quality samples for both local and APMEA bun cutting.
11. Responsible for monitoring and extracting sensory results at APMEA website.
12. Conduct regular product sensory evaluation in accordance with McDonald's and Anita's standards.
13. Evaluate, test and approve/disapprove new materials in coordination with the QA and Production team.

14. Conduct experiments/trials to improve product quality.

15. Issue Resolution:

16. Investigate and resolve quality issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

17. Monitor and evaluate store/customer complaints through PCR web and report to the Operations

18. Assure product quality and safety prior delivery.

19. Documentation and Monitoring:

20. Maintain accurate documentation of testing procedures, results, and findings, and report on the status of QA efforts to stakeholders.

21. Ensure that the HACCP Program from raw/packaging materials through finished products is implemented.
22. Monitor continuous implementation of SQMS and accurate record keeping.

23. Random daily monitoring at production line to check performance of raw and packaging materials, check product quality and consistent implementation of Food Safety System.

24. Compliance:

25. Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations, including quality management systems (QMS).

26. Responsible for creating, cascading and implementing product quality and system standards.
27. Responsible for maintaining McDonald's product quality standards and systems.
28. Conducting annual self-audit for SQMS audit requirements.

29. Lead and manage food safety culture improvements.

30. Continuous Improvement:

31. Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance QA effectiveness and efficiency.

32. Conducts monthly GMP audits to all stakeholders.

33. Assigned to manage food safety culture improvements.

34. Communication and Collaboration:

35. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and fostering a collaborative environment.

36. Other Duties

37. Conduct orientation to newly hired crews, security guard, cleaner, logistics and warehouse personnel.

38. Conduct annual and In-house training for all production and admin personnel on the Food Safety System.
39. Establish and maintain relationships with the Management team, supply chain and operations so information about product performance and safety is being communicated properly and timely.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor in Science Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or ChemTech, Food Technology or any science related courses.
• At least two (2) years equivalent QA experience in food manufacturing.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
• Experience in leading and managing teams, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
• Understanding of quality management systems and industry standards such as ISO.
• Proactive, Keen to details, strong leadership, uphold confidentiality
