The Demand Planning Associate is responsible for ensuring that product demand is consistently met by closely monitoring stock availability. This role focuses on achieving a high level of forecast accuracy through trend analysis, sales prediction, and optimization of inventory levels. The associate supports the Demand Planning Supervisor in all forecasting and planning activities, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel.

Data Analysis and Forecasting:

  • Apply statistical tools and analytical techniques to evaluate data and guide demand planning decisions.
  • Conduct forecasting analysis for current and future periods, ensuring adherence to established forecasting methodologies.
  • Gather and analyze relevant data such as historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and inventory status to develop accurate sales forecasts.
  • Provide timely and precise reports and analytics to evaluate brand or category performance against set goals.
  • Perform competitive analysis by tracking market and fashion trends.
  • Identify potential risks affecting demand, such as supply chain disruptions or shifts in market conditions, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor warehouse inventory movements and flag slow-moving or obsolete stocks for prompt resolution.

Reporting and Presentation:

  • Create and distribute weekly and monthly statistical forecast reports.
  • Prepare and present data on forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and related key metrics to management.
  • Lead monthly Demand Planning and Forecast Review Meetings with brand teams to finalize standard forecasts.
  • Track SKU performance and propose SKU rationalization when necessary.
  • Oversee supply status, replenishment schedules, and operational needs.
  • Monitor and communicate any significant changes in sales forecasts, budgets, or business plans.
