Demand Planner

Demand Forecasting & Analysis

• Develop and maintain both short-term and long-term demand forecasts.
• Analyze past sales data, market trends, and seasonal patterns to enhance forecast precision.
• Investigate and address discrepancies in forecasts, offering actionable insights and recommendations.
• Support the use of statistical models and data-driven techniques for forecasting.

Collaboration Across Functions

• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to collect inputs for demand planning.
• Incorporate promotional activities, new product launches, and customer insights into demand projections.
• Participate in monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, providing forecast updates and insights.

Inventory & Supply Coordination

• Partner with inventory and supply planning teams to ensure forecasts align with available supply.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing stock to prevent both overstocking and stockouts.
• Support replenishment strategies to maintain optimal service levels.

Systems & Reporting

• Maintain forecasting data in ERP and demand planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Generate regular reports and dashboards to track key metrics like forecast accuracy and inventory turnover.
• Assist in developing and automating reporting tools and planning processes.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve the demand planning process and help implement continuous improvements.
• Contribute to the creation and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for forecasting and planning.
