We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Network Engineer (Tier 3)
to join our Network Operations team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting complex network issues, maintaining and upgrading critical infrastructure, and ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable network performance. The ideal candidate will possess advanced problem-solving skills, strong technical expertise, and the ability to lead special projects, including new deployments and vendor integrations.

• Respond to and resolve Network Operations Trouble Ticket Escalations for Tier 3 incidents.
• Maintain and support computer networks, hardware, software, and security systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve recurring or critical issues, particularly for sensitive or VIP sites.
• Recommend and implement Wi-Fi optimization settings, including full or partial network upgrades.
• Perform firmware updates on network equipment and arrange scheduled upgrades.
• Manage server and virtual controller whitelisting (IP, MAC) and licensing.
• Handle PMACCT requests, heatmap conversion requests, and site surveys.
• Conduct Wi-Fi surveys, provide optimization recommendations, and implement network design improvements.
• Plan, design, and implement new location deployments and other special network projects.
• Provide configuration baselines and ensure smooth deployment of new vendors or products.
• Maintain data backups and implement procedures to enhance security, access control, and vulnerability management.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on Post Install Checks (PIC) and ensure resolution of missing or failed items.
• Deliver post-installation support (first 2–3 months) to assist with transition from Install to Support Group

Qualification and requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of network engineering and support experience, with Tier 3-level troubleshooting expertise.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi optimization, and network security principles.
• Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless controllers.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools, firmware upgrades, and configuration management.
• Ability to work independently on complex issues and lead cross-functional projects.
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CWNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
• Experience in outsourcing environments or managed service providers (MSPs).
• Familiarity with automation and proactive monitoring solutions.
