Job Summary:

The General Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of accounting functions, including financial reporting, tax compliance, internal controls, and audit coordination. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial management and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and inventory accounting.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
  • Ensure compliance with tax requirements and other government regulations (BIR, SEC, etc.).
  • Lead external and internal audit preparations, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Establish and monitor internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets.
  • Analyze financial reports and provide insights to support strategic business decisions.
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team to ensure high performance and adherence to deadlines.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper alignment of financial data and reporting.

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Licensed CPA (Certified Public Accountant) – mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience in retail, clothing, or manufacturing industries is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in accounting systems (ERP or other accounting software).
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and regulatory compliance.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
