Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality and Food Safety Director located in Muntinlupa City. The Quality and Food Safety Director will be responsible for managing and overseeing the quality assurance and food safety programs. Daily tasks include monitoring production processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, conducting audits, developing and implementing quality control procedures, and ensuring regulatory compliance nationwide. The role also involves coordinating with various departments to train staff on quality and safety protocols, investigating and resolving quality issues, and maintaining detailed documentation of all activities.
1. Task Force Team Implementation
- Leads and plans the value creation of QAS taskforce by ensuring timely implementation of projects in the pipeline, from conceptualization to evaluation/assessment, and securing stakeholder's approval.
- Ensures alignment and compliance to QA standards of projects running at plant level. Assists the plants in closing the gaps raised from quality and food safety assessment drives sustainability of projects hedged to improve productivity
2. Quality and Food Safety Management
- Leads the launch of new products, reformulation and productivity initiative and ensures protocols are compliant to QA standards.
- Conducts end-to-end plant assessment -- closure of gaps, plant implementation and verification on QAS and Food Safety Management.
- Guides and governs PCPPI plants on the execution of Food Safety Management and PepsiCo Global Customer Concern Protocol.
- Coordinates and resolves region/plant/BU deviations and spots opportunities that will impact product quality and improve raw and packaging material wastages.
3. Consumer Affairs Handling
- Provides end-to-end process in establishing PEP minimum requirements that will enable a global, effective, and efficient complaint-handling management process.
- Leads the management routine meetings and review with Area QASM and consolidates updates contributing to a more accurate, transparent, and consistent reporting metrics.
- Leads in aligning fundamental process standards and coaches teams who receive consumer feedback on the organization, sharing, and addressing consumer complaints.
4. Cost Management
- Prepares the QAS budget/Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and ensures operations are within budget.
- Leads and guides the QAS team in budget optimization – projects are on time, on budget and on quality.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- College Graduate: Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology or any natural science
- License is preferred but not mandatory
- At least 15 years solid work experience or combined work experience in quality assurance, manufacturing functions, or consumer manufacturing operations in food and beverage
- Sufficient knowledge and exposure in laboratory operation of a beverage manufacturing
- Professional or job-related certification is required, e.g., FDA training and certification
