Job Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for financial strategies, recommends financial objectives aligned to Corporate financial goals, and contributes financial and accounting information needed by the business for analysis of its financial performance.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

· Establishes finance operational strategies by evaluating effective approaches to achieve corporate financial goals; Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements of the business unit, and identifying funding resources, and developing action plans.

· Undertakes research on local economic trends and revenue opportunities, analyzing operations processes and goal achievement, identifying opportunities for improvement, exploring innovative approaches for greater cost effectiveness, and systems enhancement.

· Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances

· Maximizes return on invested funds by identifying opportunities to maximize returns and maintaining relationships with the financial community. Assists the COO in exploring opportunities for expansion and growth and approaches to accumulating capital to fund expansion.

· Reports financial status by developing forecasts; reporting results; and analyzing variances.

· Acts as a guardian of corporate governance and checks for the company's compliance with all corporate regulatory requirements.

· Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new national and local regulations, maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
