Role Purpose

The Workshop Mechanic is responsible for carrying out maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Jaguar Land Rover vehicles to the highest manufacturer and safety standards. The role ensures that all work meets quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction targets while maintaining the brand's premium service experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled servicing, mechanical repairs, and diagnostics on Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.
  • Use JLR-approved tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems to identify and resolve faults.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines, technical bulletins, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and prepare accurate job reports.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timelines and to JLR quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records in line with dealership and manufacturer requirements.
  • Uphold workshop cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
  • Liaise with Service Advisors and Workshop Controller to ensure smooth workflow and customer updates.
  • Participate in technical training and continuous development as required by JLR.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Vocational or technical qualification in Automotive Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience as an automotive mechanic, preferably with luxury or premium brands.
  • Certifications: Jaguar Land Rover training or manufacturer certifications (advantageous).
