The Division Merchandising Manager for Flooring and Bathroom Fixtures leads category strategy, assortment, pricing, promotions, and vendor management to drive sales and margin growth. Reporting to the AVP for Merchandising, the role ensures strong category execution, inventory optimization, and supplier performance across all stores and channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies for the Flooring and Bathroom Fixtures division to achieve sales, profit, and inventory goals.
  • Oversee category assortment planning, product lifecycle management, vendor sourcing/negotiations, and supplier performance to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
  • Analyze sales, margins, turn rates, customer behavior, market trends, and competitor activity to guide category strategy, pricing, and promotional planning.
  • Collaborate with marketing, visual merchandising, supply chain, and store operations to execute product launches, seasonal plans, in-store promotions, and optimized planograms.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and cross-functional coordination to drive category growth and enhance overall customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field; MBA is an advantage.
  • 5–7 years of merchandising or category management experience, ideally in home improvement, construction, or retail, with strong knowledge of flooring and bathroom fixtures.
  • Demonstrated success in sales planning, vendor management, category development, and data-driven forecasting using systems like SAP, Oracle Retail, and Excel.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with strong strategic planning capability.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
