About the Role:

We are seeking a Solar Electrical Engineer to design, plan, and oversee the implementation of rooftop solar PV systems. The ideal candidate will ensure that all electrical designs are efficient, compliant, and safe—transforming sunlight into clean, reliable power for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design complete rooftop PV electrical systems, including DC stringing, inverter configuration, cable sizing, AC distribution, grounding, and surge protection.
  • Prepare detailed electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, utility interconnection standards, and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support during installation and commissioning, including inverter setup, grounding verification, and insulation resistance testing.
  • Coordinate with procurement to specify and validate electrical components and supplier selections.
  • Collaborate with structural engineers and site supervisors to integrate electrical routing and mounting into the overall building design.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure installations meet design and performance expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Licensed Electrical Engineer (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2–4 years experience in solar PV system design and implementation.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, PVSyst, and electrical design tools.
  • Strong understanding of local grid interconnection requirements and electrical safety standards.
