I. POSITION SUMMARY

An estimator, also known as a cost planner, collects and evaluates a company's data in order to estimate the costs, resources, and labor needed to produce a service or product. Their duties include performing research, gathering quotations, preparing reports, and monitoring forecast plans.

II. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect different quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Analyze company data, monitor budgets and prices using software packages.
  • Review and assess cost estimates.
  • Determine labor, material, costs, and time requirements by researching proposals, blueprints, and any related documents.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimate reports.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments.
  • Oversee the different stages of a company project to ensure that expenses follow the forecast plan.
  • Present complex and detailed reports to management.

III. JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in the same capacity
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or similar.
  • Mechanical estimating or finance experience is advantageous.
  • Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets; strong estimating and financial analysis skills
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical plan, materials, pricing, and industry.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
  • Great networking abilities.
  • Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to analyze financial records and apply data to improved results
  • Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php18, Php20,000.00 per month
