Job Summary:

The Quantity Surveying Associate will assist in cost management, project estimation, and financial planning for construction projects. This role supports senior quantity surveyors in ensuring project budgets are managed effectively and resources are utilized efficiently, contributing to the successful completion of projects within timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

  • Assist in preparing preliminary and detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Help establish project budgets and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Bill of Quantities Preparation:
  • Prepare, manage, and update Bills of Quantities (BoQ) based on project drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements accurately.
  • Cost Control and Monitoring:
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with the allocated budget.
  • Identify and report any cost discrepancies or potential budget overruns.
  • Tender and Contract Management:
  • Assist in preparing tender documents and contracts.
  • Support bid evaluations and contractor negotiations.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to align costs with project plans.
  • Attend site meetings and assist in resolving any cost-related issues.
  • Documentation and Records Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of costs, variations, and correspondence related to the project.
  • Assist in preparing final accounts upon project completion.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in quantity surveying or a related role is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, CAD, Planswift and other software related.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations is an advantage.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php18, Php22,000.00 per month
