Job Summary:
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, profitability, and growth of the branch within the VisMin area. This role ensures smooth logistics operations covering warehousing, distribution, trucking, and freight forwarding, while maintaining compliance with company standards and client requirements. The Branch Manager also leads business development initiatives, manages client relationships, and ensures operational efficiency through effective leadership of branch staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations & Service Management
- Oversee end-to-end logistics operations (trucking, warehousing, freight, last-mile delivery) in the VisMin branch.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety, and government regulations.
- Monitor service performance and ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Manage resources such as fleet, warehouse space, and manpower to optimize efficiency.
2. Business Development & Client Management
- Identify and pursue business opportunities to grow revenue in VisMin.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and vendors.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and contracts for potential and existing customers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing issues and providing solutions promptly.
3. Financial & Budgetary Management
- Manage the branch's P&L (profit and loss) and achieve financial targets.
- Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and cost-control strategies.
- Monitor and control operational expenses to maximize profitability.
4. People Management & Leadership
- Lead, coach, and mentor branch staff to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure proper workforce planning, recruitment, and training.
- Set performance metrics, monitor results, and conduct performance reviews.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
5. Strategic & Administrative Functions
- Execute branch strategies aligned with corporate goals.
- Prepare regular operational and financial reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Represent the company in local industry networks, government, and community relations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or related field.
- At least 5–7 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with 3+ years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Visayas and Mindanao logistics network (ports, trucking routes, warehousing hubs).
- Proven track record in branch operations management, sales, and business development.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and logistics systems
- Willing to travel extensively across VisMin branches.
