Senior Quality Manager

Do you have a strong technical background in a relevant field combined with experience in quality management? Do you want to play a key role in the global transition to renewable energy? Become LAUTEC's new Senior Quality Manager located in the Philippines (Manila).

As our Quality Manager, you'll be responsible for creating and implementing the project QM plan as well as the QMS for a large-scale offshore wind project. You'll focus on supplier quality management and coordinate project quality surveillance and audit activities for contractors or suppliers.

• Develop a quality strategy, project quality plan, and other essential quality management procedures for all project phases, including a KPI dashboard, with primary focus on the development phase across all project packages (WTG, FOU, OnSS, and cables).
• Implement quality management in the project development phase, including the ITT phase for TSA and BoP, contractor evaluation, contractor selection, and conducting pre-contract award audits, with particular attention to WTG supplier quality assurance and pre-award assessments.
• Set up and maintain an electronic project quality reporting system, including training of users.
• Coordinate project quality surveillance activities and audit activities for contractors or suppliers.
• Review contractor ITPs, coordinate RFIs and Quality Inspector resources, and report progress to senior management.
• Monitor contractors' quality performance, including the management of subcontractors and follow-up on NCRs and CAPA, with special focus on WTG manufacturing quality and interface management.
• Prepare monthly and weekly project quality reports for senior management, including quality risk assessments.
• Ensure internal interfaces regarding quality management and certification, document management, PMO, and risk management.
• Ensure external interfaces, e.g., employer inspections, contractor inspections, according to the ITP.
• Facilitate the implementation of Quality Moment/Alert and lessons learned systems to support knowledge sharing and experience learning across the project team and with key contractors/suppliers.
• Collaborate with the project team to promote a zero-defect and continuous improvement mindset and behavior for successful project execution.
• Ensure all identified quality records and communications are correctly approved and maintained, including verification of final as-built documentation and takeover.
• Implement project management with a focus on delivering time, budget, and contractual requirements while ensuring quality compliance.

Bringing the below skills and qualities will make it easier to succeed in this role:  

• Degree (BSc and/or MSc) or equivalent study within Engineering or other related technical disciplines, paired with a general interest in developing renewable energy projects.  
• 5+ years of work experience in major technical industries, with proven experience specifically in offshore wind projects, preferably in the development phase of large-scale projects.
• Experience with quality management practices and procedures, and can apply these to complex projects and be conversant with ISO 9001, APQP4Wind, and other industry standards.
• Ability to communicate technical issues between relevant parties, such as the NC detection during fabrication and aligning production quality with client expectations and requirements, with the capability to handle cross-package quality alignment (WTG, FOU, OnSS, and cables).
• Knowledge of relevant DS/ISO/EN standards regarding quality management systems.
• Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin); excellent communication skills, enabling you to present complex matters in a professional and straightforward way.
• Willingness to relocate to the Client's office in Manila, The Philippines, with frequent travel across the Asia Pacific region, including China.
