Job Purpose

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader and mentor within cross-functional project teams, taking ownership of complex testing strategies and quality assurance initiatives while ensuring the highest standards of product quality across multiple projects. You will design comprehensive testing frameworks, lead automation initiatives, and mentor junior and mid-level colleagues in advanced testing practices. This role bridges technical quality execution with business objectives, contributing to quality strategy decisions, leading testing best practices, and supporting pre-sales activities while maintaining strong client relationships through technical excellence and quality advocacy.

Key Accountabilities

Quality Leadership & Strategy

Lead development and implementation of comprehensive QA strategies and testing frameworks across multiple projects.

Make strategic decisions regarding testing approaches, tool selection, and quality standards.

Establish and maintain testing best practices, standards, and quality metrics for continuous improvement.

Lead advanced testing initiatives including performance, security, and end-to-end validation.

Drive process optimization and innovation through adoption of emerging testing methodologies and tools.

Conduct root cause analysis for critical quality issues and provide preventive solutions.

Stay current with QA trends and evaluate new testing technologies for adoption.

Lead proof-of-concept testing initiatives and assess risks for new features and implementations.

Team Development & Mentorship

Mentor and support junior and mid-level QA colleagues across specializations.

Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and career development support.

Contribute to recruitment by evaluating candidates' technical skills.

Support performance evaluations with constructive feedback.

Deliver training on advanced testing, automation, and QA excellence.

Promote best practices such as test-driven development and automation-first strategies.

Foster collaboration and knowledge transfer within QA and engineering teams.

Advanced Testing & Automation

Design and maintain sophisticated automated testing frameworks and infrastructure.

Lead integration, performance, and cross-platform compatibility testing.

Own critical testing tasks ensuring comprehensive coverage and timely delivery.

Provide accurate estimates and risk assessments for complex features.

Manage testing dependencies across teams and ensure quality validation for cross-functional deliverables.

Lead release management QA processes, ensuring deployment readiness with clear reporting.

Balance delivery timelines with sustainable QA practices and technical debt awareness.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Participate in client interactions to gather quality requirements and propose testing solutions.

Contribute to QA documentation, testing strategy presentations, and stakeholder reporting.

Support pre-sales through QA expertise, demonstrations, and consultation.

Translate business requirements into detailed test strategies and execution plans.

Provide technical input on QA feasibility, resources, and timelines for planning.

Build strong client relationships through consistent delivery and quality advocacy.

Knowledge and Experience

7+ years in software QA with at least 1 year in a senior-level QA or advanced technical role.

Strong proficiency with
Maestro
mobile UI testing framework (YAML-based automation, cross-platform workflows).

Expertise in advanced test automation frameworks (scripting, data management, automated reporting).

Hands-on experience with
React Native Testing Library, Jest, Detox
, and mobile debugging tools.

Strong knowledge of mobile testing environments, emulators/simulators, and device-level testing.

Proficiency in API testing tools and advanced backend service validation.

Experience with performance, security, accessibility, and compatibility testing for iOS/Android.

Skilled in end-to-end, load, regression, and integration testing methodologies.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation integration into mobile workflows.

Familiarity with mobile architecture patterns to design test strategies for React Native apps.

Understanding of database testing concepts and data integrity validation.

Knowledge of cloud-based and distributed testing platforms.

Proficiency with Git workflows, defect tracking, and test management systems.

Hands-on experience with advanced performance testing tools and optimization strategies.

Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to lead client-facing QA discussions.

Proven mentorship and team knowledge-sharing experience.

Agile collaboration experience with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make strategic QA decisions.
