As our first Manila-based recruit, you'll help mold our financial framework and fuel our development.

We're on the hunt for a bookkkeeper to join as our initial hire in the Philippines, working remotely to serve a selection of Australian SMEs. This role opens the door to confront challenging financial tasks, build global proficiency, and evolve with the company. You'll assist in crafting efficient workflows, engage directly with Australian partners, and apply your analytical talents to provide valuable guidance that steers business progress.

• Perform bookkeeping duties, balance bank accounts, and finalize month-end records for Australian SMEs, uncovering trends and efficiency gains.
• Manage payroll with accuracy, ensuring alignment with Australian tax policies, superannuation rules, and legal standards while spotting areas for improvement.
• Handle invoicing, payments, and BAS (Business Activity Statement) drafting, exploring financial tools to strengthen client cash flow and adherence to regulations.
• Develop adaptable financial systems, utilizing technology to address complex operational hurdles and enhance performance across multiple clients.
• Collaborate with Australian firms, delivering skilled, client-focused assistance and insightful recommendations to shape decision-making.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or payroll, with demonstrated technical skill in your area of expertise.
• Keen interest in mastering Xero and Australian financial practices (no prior exposure to Australian standards or Xero required).
• Strong command of Excel and Google Sheets, with a readiness to acquire skills in financial planning, discrepancy analysis, and solution-oriented thinking.
• Excellent communication abilities, comfortable working in a tight-knit team, connecting with Australian clients, and conveying detailed insights clearly.
• A progressive outlook with enthusiasm for overcoming intellectual obstacles and achieving impactful outcomes.
• Capability to flourish in a brisk startup atmosphere, proactively refining procedures and grasping strategic possibilities.
