The Bookkeeper will provide administrative and financial support to StartHub's Finance and Administrative team. This role is entry-level and designed for fresh graduates or candidates with up to one (1) year of bookkeeping or accounting-related experience. The Bookkeeper will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, handling routine bookkeeping tasks, and supporting overall office administration.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Finance Support
- Record daily financial transactions, including receipts, disbursements, and invoices.
- Maintain and update accounting records in compliance with company standards.
- Prepare basic reconciliations of accounts such as petty cash, bank transactions, and supplier statements.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, expense summaries, and monthly statements.
- Support the finance department in monitoring accounts receivable and payable.
Administrative Support
- Maintain organized filing systems (physical and digital) for financial documents, receipts, and contracts.
- Provide clerical support such as data entry, document preparation, and scanning.
- Assist in coordinating with suppliers, service providers (External Accountant and Auditor), and internal departments for financial and administrative needs.
- Help ensure compliance with company policies and government requirements (e.g., BIR documentation, vouchers, receipts).
Other Duties
- Perform ad hoc administrative tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
- Contribute to creating a well-organized and efficient administrative workflow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Fresh graduates or with up to one (1) year of relevant work experience are welcome to apply.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word) or Google Workspace; knowledge of accounting software is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accuracy in records.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
