Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals and sales targets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective purchasing.
  • Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms with vendors and suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the sales and operations teams to forecast procurement needs.
  • Ensure timely procurement of goods to support uninterrupted sales operations.
  • Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and alternative sourcing strategies.
  • Manage procurement budgets, cost tracking, and reporting for management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations related to procurement.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, service, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead and mentor a small procurement team (if applicable).

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a sales or trading company.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in "reading" the market.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in Procurement/Supply Chain (e.g., CIPS, CPM) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with international sourcing and logistics is desirable.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven sales environment.
