We're Hiring Credit and Collection Assistant
Our reputable real estate development company is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Credit and Collection Assistant.
Job Overview
The Credit and Collection Assistant is responsible for assisting in the monitoring and collection of outstanding accounts to ensure timely payments. This role involves maintaining accurate records, communicating with clients regarding overdue payments, and supporting the finance team in credit evaluation and collection efforts.
Duties and responsibilities
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to secure payments and negotiate payment plans.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment agreements.
- Assist in evaluating the creditworthiness of customers by reviewing financial data and payment history.
- Process and reconcile payments received against outstanding invoices.
- Prepare and send monthly statements and reminders to customers.
- Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Assist in generating reports on collection activities, outstanding balances, and aging accounts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations regarding credit and collections.
- Support other finance-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in credit and collections or a related role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
MUST HAVE AN EXPERIENCE IN REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY.
