Job Description

The Offset Management Associate reports to the Biodiversity Management Manager and is responsible for executing biodiversity surveys, assessing potential offset sites, and contributing to the formulation and execution of comprehensive biodiversity offset plans. This position requires a Civil Engineer or Environmental Engineer with experiences on environmental structures and/or wastewater or coastal projects.

Job Responsibilities

The Offset Management Associate has the following responsibilities:

1. Field Assessments and Surveys:

· Participate in field assessments to collect data on the ecological characteristics of potential offset sites.

· Conduct biodiversity surveys to identify and document flora, fauna, and habitat types.

· Assist in the analysis of survey data to inform site suitability assessments.

2. Data Analysis and Reporting:

· Analyze biodiversity data and generating reports and prepare comprehensive documentation on site assessments and survey findings.

3. Offset Site Planning Assistance Management Support:

· Assist in the development of biodiversity offset strategies in alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.

· Contribute to the design, establishment and implementation of clear and measurable goals and management plans for biodiversity offsetting.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

· Support engagement activities with internal project teams, government agencies, NGOs, and local communities.

· Assist in organizing workshops and meetings to gather input and feedback from stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Advanced degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.

2. Proven experience in designing and implementing biodiversity offset programs, management and conservation.

3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

4. Knowledge of IFC PS requirements is preferred.

5. Experience in designing projects with environmental structures
