The Senior Payroll Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation, processing, and recording of the company's payroll under the Accounting Department. This includes ensuring proper computation of salaries, government-mandated deductions, and employee loans. The role also ensures full compliance with statutory requirements and assists in reconciliation, reporting, and audit-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Compute and process salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, and adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate deductions and remittances for SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR contributions.
  • Process and monitor employee loans (SSS, Pag-IBIG, company loans, salary advances, etc.) and ensure proper recording and deduction in payroll.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to respective government agencies.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts and coordinate with accounting staff for journal entries and financial reporting.
  • Assist during internal and external audits related to payroll and statutory compliance.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits in a professional and timely manner.
  • Recommend improvements to streamline payroll procedures and enhance efficiency within the Accounting Department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or Finance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in payroll processing or accounting-related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation and government-mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR).
  • Proficient in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • High sense of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to be assigned in Cubao, Quezon City
