Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the Corporate IT organization, you will join the IT Delivery team for LIMs (Laboratory Information Management Systems: StarLIMS technology) providing technical expertise:

  • Participate to the implementation of a LIMS solution based on XFD/HTLM5 technologies, either by developing new applications/features or by maintaining existing ones.
  • Participate to the implementation of the integration of the needed instrument with the LIMS solution based on XFD/HTLM5 technologies, either by developing new integration or by maintaining existing ones.
  • Participate to the implementation of the integration between LIMS and internal or third party applications through development of API in StarLIMS and .NET API in Azure NGI framework or by maintaining/improving existing ones.
  • Take responsibility of reviewing and optimizing a set of SQL queries.
  • Provide 3rd level application support for the application.
  • Interact closely with Vendor delivery team members and provide technical guidance

SPECIFIC TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the implementation of LIMS related development in a timely and quality fashion.
  • Translate business and IT specifications into detailed designs and xfd code, as well as unit and system testing
  • Ensure the quality of the development by implementing best practice designs, documenting the code appropriately and ensuring performance maximization by optimizing the code
  • Implement the data model changes required by the LIMS
  • Create the views and SQL statements that may be required by the applications or reporting tools
  • Define the indexes that are required for optimized performance
  • Ensure the 3rd level support of in-house development in collaboration with other development team members
  • At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct
Qualifications

PROFILE

  • High Level Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant StarLIMS and Crystal Reports development experience.
  • Required
    • Knowledge of LIMS or Knowledge of LIMS instrument integration
    • Experience with Relational Databases, SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
    • Knowledge of development methodologies (Agile, Scrum)
  • Ideally
    • Crystal Reports experience 
    • Experience with GIT projects' repository
    • Experience with Word Report development
  • Relevant experience of SQL development including ability to write and tune sql code for optimized performance 
  • Strong knowledge and experience in designing database model
  • Good understanding of the Application Lifecycle Management
  • Used to work in an international environment
