We are seeking a qualified and motivated Project Engineer to join our team, specializing in horizontal projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of activities on construction sites. The Site Engineer will work closely with the project team to implement design plans, monitor progress, and uphold quality and safety standards throughout the earthworks phase.

Responsibilities:

  1. **Project Planning and Coordination:**

  2. Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.

  3. Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets related to earthworks activities.

  4. **Site Supervision:**

  5. Oversee and inspect earthworks operations to ensure compliance with project specifications, design drawings, and industry standards.

  6. Monitor and manage subcontractors and field crews to achieve project goals.

  7. **Quality Control:**

  8. Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that earthworks meet or exceed specified standards.

  9. Conduct regular inspections and testing to verify compliance with project requirements.

  10. **Surveying and Layout:**

  11. Conduct surveying and layout tasks to establish reference points and lines for earthworks activities.

  12. Ensure accurate and precise execution of design plans on the construction site.

  13. **Safety Compliance:**

  14. Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on the construction site.

  15. Conduct safety inspections, address safety concerns, and ensure adherence to safety regulations.

  16. **Material Management:**

  17. Monitor and manage the use of materials, including soil, aggregates, and other resources required for earthworks.

  18. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials to the construction site.

  19. **Documentation:**

  20. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and as-built drawings.

  21. Communicate regularly with the project team to provide updates on site activities.

  22. **Problem-Solving:**

  23. Identify and address technical issues or challenges related to earthworks promptly.

  24. Collaborate with the project team to develop effective solutions and minimize project delays.

  25. **Environmental Compliance:**

  26. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement measures to minimize environmental impact during earthworks activities.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Civil Engineer

  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control processes.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment.
