JOB SUMMARY

The Engineering & Facilities Management Manager oversees the entire operation and maintenance of the hotel's engineering department and ensures that the preventive maintenance schedule is properly followed and carried out.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads and manages the engineering team and contractors to ensure efficient hotel operations
  • Oversees all preventive maintenance, utilities, plant equipment, and engineering facilities to ensure reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinates with other departments and government agencies regarding technical issues, permits, and statutory requirements
  • Implements and monitors energy conservation programs, water testing, utilities consumption, and inventory management
  • Ensures adherence to Fire and Life Safety standards, hotel policies, cleanliness, grooming, and professional conduct
  • Conducts coaching, performance evaluation, training, and development of engineering staff
  • Manages facilities-related projects, including planning, budgeting, design coordination, contract management, construction monitoring, and project documentation
  • Prepares technical and consumption reports and ensures timely corrective actions when performance targets are not met
  • Performs additional duties assigned by the Assistant Director or Chief of Engineering & Facilities Management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the hospitality industry
  • At least 3 years in a managerial role, demonstrating strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
  • Knowledgeable in budget preparation for both OPEX and CAPEX
  • Knowledgeable in MEPFS codes
  • Familiar with LGU regulations and building codes compliance
