Job Summary:
The Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist leads the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of all training initiatives across the organization. This role ensures effective delivery of onboarding, sales, product knowledge, compliance, and leadership training, and supports capability-building programs aligned with organizational goals. The L&D Specialist also coordinates with key stakeholders to ensure training effectiveness through structured evaluation and impact measurement. The L&D Specialist shall also personally design training modules and deliver training programs as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Control Functions
a. Oversee the end-to-end implementation of training programs, including onboarding, core values, sales, product training, and compliance training.
b. Designs and updates training modules and materials, based on organizational needs, in
collaboration with subject matter experts.
c. Conducts training programs when needed or in the absence of an available trainer.
d. Leads the administration of pre-tests and post-tests and evaluates learning effectiveness.
e. Ensures timely preparation of training logistics including venue, materials, trainers, and
equipment.
f. Monitors trainer performance and ensures adherence to training calendars and standards.
g. Implement training impact measurement checkpoints).
2. Support Functions
a. Partners with department heads to identify training needs based on performance gaps and organizational goals.
b. Supports the L&D Manager in the design of leadership development, coaching, and mentoring programs.
c. Provides coaching and guidance to the L&D Trainers.
d. Coordinates with the OD team to align learning interventions with career development and succession planning.
3. Reportorial Functions
a. Ensure on time submission and accurate training attendance logs
b. Ensure on time submission and accurate post training evaluation summary
c. Ensure on time submission and accurate pre and post test results summary
d. Ensure on time submission and accurate training impact report (30 – 60 – 90 day follow up)
e. Ensure on time submission and accurate training needs analysis
