Key responsibilities
- Strategic planning: Collaborating with executives to develop and implement people strategies that support business goals.
- Talent management: Overseeing recruitment, employee development, training, and performance management for their assigned business unit.
- Organizational development: Helping to design and manage organizational changes, structures, and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Employee relations: Serving as a consultant to management on people matters and coaching them on how to handle employee issues.
- Business acumen: Acting as a bridge between the HR department and the business unit, translating HR needs into business language and vice versa.
Education and experience
- A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field.
- Years of experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in traditional HR roles is often necessary, with senior roles requiring 5-10+ years of experience, often in a leadership capacity.
