Reports To: Estimating Team Lead

Position Overview

As an Insurance Restoration Estimating Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, submitting, and negotiating insurance estimates and supplements. You will utilize Xactimate and Symbility to develop accurate scopes of work, provide supporting documentation, and work directly with adjusters to justify and defend supplements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed estimates using Xactimate and Symbility for roofing, exterior, and interior restoration projects

  • Submit supplements with complete documentation including photos, contracts, measurements, and applicable codes

  • Negotiate with insurance adjusters via email and phone to justify scope and pricing

  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date claim notes in RoofLink

  • Review and respond to revised insurance summaries for approvals and denials

  • Send final invoice packages including warranties and certificates of completion

  • Track and follow up on recoverable depreciation

  • Participate in internal quality checks and adhere to company estimating standards

  • Record progress and activity in the team's daily tracker

  • Collaborate with team members on estimate review, supplement strategy, and training

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience creating insurance restoration estimates

  • Proficient in Xactimate and Symbility

  • Strong understanding of property claim processes and supplement negotiations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple open estimates at various stages

  • Familiarity with tools such as RoofLink, EagleView, CompanyCam, Google Drive,Company Cam, HailTrace, Hover etc.

Preferred:

  • Experience working for both contractors and carriers

  • Experience creating estimates for MRP assignments

  • Familiarity with wind, hail, water, and fire losses

  • Confident in defending supplements using code references and photo documentation
