ACCOUNT OFFICER

Assignment: LIGHT MFI Branch (Pasay and Paranaque)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Account Officer will be responsible for the implementation of the organization's financial and non-financial programs and services in his/her area of assignment, through organizing Partner-Clients and equipping microentrepreneurs in the community. He/she will also be in-charge of evaluating loans, processing of loan documents, and monitoring and recording of Partner-Clients' loan payments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Organizing of Partner Clients

· Promotes LIGHT Microfinance Inc. program in coordination with LGU's and like-minded institution in the area.

· Identifies potential partner clients in the designated area

· Conducts orientation session to prospective partner clients

2. Loan Facilitation, Collection and Control

· Accomplished loan applications of Partner Clients

· Prepares loan documents

· Conducts loan utilization check after loan disbursement.

· Conducts loan monitoring

· Records loan payment and capital build-up during weekly meetings

· Ensure 100% collection of weekly payments

3. Cluster Management

· Guides cluster leader in performing their role during cluster meetings

· Facilitates resolution of cluster problems such as loan delinquencies and conflict among members and leaders

· Facilitates transformation inputs, focusing on the holistic development of Partner Clients

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Junior High School or Senior High School Graduate.

  • Graduate of any 4 or 2-year course.

  • Willing to do field work and has the compassion to serve the poor.

  • Has work experience in credit and collection management is an advantage but not required.

  • People-oriented with good communication skills, and customer service driven.

  • Willing to travel and be assigned in any areas of our operations.
