Timekeeping Assistant

Job Description

The
Timekeeping Assistant
is responsible for the accurate recording, verification, and maintenance of employee attendance and time records. This role ensures that all

timekeeping data are processed correctly and in compliance with company policies and government labor regulations, supporting accurate and timely payroll processing.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy,
    Accounting Information System
    ,
    Human Resource Management
    ,
    Business Administration
    , or related field.
  • Preferably
    3 year – 5 years' experience
    in HR, payroll, or timekeeping.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools; knowledge of HRIS or timekeeping software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Biometrics systems) is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, accuracy, organization, and time management skills.
  • Basic understanding of Philippine labor laws, overtime computation, and payroll processes.
  • Good communication skills; can work independently or with minimal supervision; reliable and trustworthy.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented

  • Team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Able to meet deadlines and handle sensitive data discreetly

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and maintain daily attendance records of all employees.
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of time logs, overtime, leaves, and absences.
  • Process and validate timesheets and biometric system data.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and department heads regarding attendance discrepancies.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly timekeeping reports for payroll processing.
  • Encode and update employee schedules, leaves, and overtime in HRIS or timekeeping system.
  • Assist in the preparation of government reports (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) related to employee time and pay, as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee records and information.
  • Support HR and Payroll teams in other administrative and reporting tasks.
