About the Role

This is a senior, hands-on engineering role focused on next-gen firewalls, DDoS protection, proxies, NAC, WAF, IPS, and broader security platform management. You'll act as the L3 expert, lead advanced troubleshooting, drive policy optimization, and mentor junior engineers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage Palo Alto, Fortigate, AlgoSec firewalls.
  • Administer web proxies (Forcepoint, Cisco WSA) and email security platforms (Cisco ESA, Trellix).
  • Configure and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls across multi-environment setups.
  • Develop, enforce, and optimize security policies.
  • Manage DDoS protection tools (F5 XC, Anti-Bot, Anti-DDoS).
  • Integrate threat intelligence using Trellix NX.
  • Manage NAC using Forescout.
  • Implement and maintain WAF solutions (Cloudflare, F5).
  • Oversee IPS platforms (Fortigate, Sourcefire).
  • Lead micro-segmentation initiatives using Tempered Networks.
  • Run regular security audits and compliance checks.
  • Provide L3 support for complex network security incidents.
  • Create and maintain SOPs and knowledgebase documentation.
  • Collaborate with IT, cloud, and applications teams for secure deployments.
  • Participate in customer meetings and provide activity reports.
  • Mentor junior engineers on network security best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging threats and recommend new solutions.
  • Work with compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant network security experience.

  • F5 (XC), Anti-Bot, Anti-DDoS
  • Forescout NAC

  • Experience delivering L3-level incident resolution.
  • Exposure to compliance frameworks (PCI, ISO, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST).

Good-to-Have
  • Certifications: CCNA Security, PCNSE, F5 certifications.
  • Experience with ITSM service management tools.
  • Strong communication skills.
