Accounting Assistant

Role Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Assistant with experience using NetSuite ERP to support key financial functions. This role will be responsible for executing daily and monthly accounting tasks including accounts payable data entry, credit card transaction processing, bank reconciliations, and supporting budgeting processes.
This is a remote position that requires a high level of accuracy, responsiveness, and the ability to work independently with clear communication.
Key Responsibilities:

Daily & Weekly Tasks
  • Process and enter vendor bills and invoices into NetSuite with appropriate coding and documentation
  • Support the AP workflow, including uploading PDFs, assigning to appropriate GL accounts, and tracking payment status
  • Record and reconcile corporate credit card transactions, ensuring receipts and descriptions are properly filed
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency in transactional data, assisting in resolving discrepancies with vendors
Monthly Tasks
  • Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations at month-end close
  • Support budget input and maintenance within NetSuite planning module.
  • Review AP aging reports and assist with vendor communications regarding payment timing
  • Help track and tag fixed expenses, recurring entries, and prepaid items
Ongoing System Support
  • Help with cleanup and organization of vendor master data in NetSuite
  • Support the finance team in generating basic reports or exporting data when needed
  • Ensure documentation is organized and audit-ready
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP is strongly preferred (minimum 1 year)
  • Comfortable with AP, reconciliations, and credit card tracking
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and escalate issues when appropriate
  • Reliable internet access and ability to work across U.S. time zones (flexibility within 4–6 hours of overlap preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP basics and vendor AP processes
  • Experience working with a U.S.-based team or in a remote/offshore structure
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-moving, evolving environment
