About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented professional with a construction background to manage document control and drawing flows between our client teams and our drafting group in the Philippines (Orbit CAD). This role ensures transmittals, drawing references, and submissions are set up correctly and delivered on time via client portals used in construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage drawing transmittals and maintain the drawing register (issue dates, revisions, statuses).
  • Set up architectural files (e.g., DWG/RVT/PDF) with correct layering, xrefs/links, naming conventions, title blocks, and sheet sets for Orbit CAD.
  • Validate drawing references (xrefs/links) and resolve missing paths prior to handoff.
  • Perform QA/QC on incoming and outgoing files (format, scale, units, page setup, plotting).
  • Submit drawings and documents through client portals (e.g., Aconex, Procore, Asite, BIM 360/ACC, Newforma, etc.).
  • Track comments/markups, coordinate revisions, and ensure redlines are reflected accurately.
  • Prepare transmittal sheets, cover letters, and submittal logs; keep metadata consistent.
  • Liaise daily with project managers, architects/engineers, and the Philippines drafting team to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain configuration standards, templates, and checklists; enforce document control procedures.
  • Support RFIs/submittals and package close-out documentation as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture (preferred) or equivalent construction/document control experience.
  • 2–5+ years in construction, architecture, or engineering projects with hands-on document control/drawing management.
  • Solid understanding of construction drawings, revisions, and issue processes (IFC, tender, as-built).
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD (basic editing, xrefs, plotting); Revit familiarity a plus.
  • Experience with construction portals (Aconex, Procore, Asite, BIM 360/ACC, etc.).
  • Proficient with Bluebeam (markups, comparisons), MS Excel/Google Sheets (logs, registers).
  • Strong attention to detail, version control discipline, and deadline management.
  • Clear written/spoken English; comfortable coordinating with offshore teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience standardizing CAD/BIM templates, title blocks, and sheet sets.
  • Knowledge of file exchange and naming standards (e.g., BS 1192/ISO 19650 principles).
  • Familiarity with MEP/structural drawing coordination and clash notes.
