Finance Systems Support Analysts

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Support & Troubleshooting

  2. Serve as the first/second line of support for Oracle Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management, Expenses).

  3. Troubleshoot and resolve user access, transaction errors, and reporting issues.

  4. Log, track, and escalate issues to L3 support or Oracle Support (via My Oracle Support) when needed.

  5. Document solutions and maintain a knowledge base for recurring issues.

  6. User Training & Documentation

  7. Conduct end-user training on Oracle Finance processes.

  8. Create and update user guides, FAQs, and process documentation.

  9. Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system updates.

  10. System Maintenance & Configuration

  11. Assist in applying patches, upgrades, and system enhancements.

  12. Maintain security roles and access controls (segregation of duties).

  13. Monitor scheduled jobs, interfaces, and integrations (banks, tax systems, etc.).

  14. Reporting & Data Analysis

  15. Develop and modify financial reports using OTBI, BI Publisher, or FR Studio.

  16. Assist finance teams with ad-hoc data extracts and analysis.

  17. Ensure data integrity between Oracle Finance and other systems.

  18. Process Improvement & Compliance

  19. Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.

  20. Support audit and compliance (SOX, GAAP, internal controls).

  21. Work with IT and finance teams on system enhancements and integrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Oracle Financial ERP (Fusion, EBS, or Cloud) – GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Mgmt.

  • Basic SQL/PLSQL for data queries and troubleshooting

  • Experience with financial reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher, Smart View)

  • Understanding of ERP integrations (banks, payroll, tax software)

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting workflows and approval hierarchies

Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS)

  • Experience with month-end close processes

  • Ability to translate business requirements into system solutions

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication & training abilities

  • Ability to work with finance teams and IT teams

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in Oracle Finance ERP support (Fusion, EBS, or similar)

  • Experience in help desk/ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA) is a plus

  • Oracle certifications (Oracle Financials, Cloud ERP) preferred but not required
