We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join the team. The successful candidate will have a proven track-record in performing internal accounting, management reporting and first-level analysis. Additionally, the ability to perform value-added accounting functions including business partnering and identifying and suggesting business improvements, providing comprehensive financial insights and support to ARM's Managing Director and its portfolio of companies.

We are looking for someone with the ability to analyse the business in depth, critically evaluate the numbers, provide well-founded recommendations, and communicate insights clearly and confidently to stakeholders.

Financial Reporting

  • Take ownership of group financial reporting by learning existing processes and preparing and reviewing financial statements for the Managing Director.
  • Prepare and review portfolio financial statements for submission to senior management of portfolio companies.
  • Where required, improve and develop the financial reporting environment.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the holding company and its subsidiaries.

Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Enter and maintain bills and invoices.
  • Enter and maintain month end journals.
  • Provide ad-hoc backfill from time to time for the subsidiary entities.

Payroll and banking

  • Oversee employee onboarding and monthly payroll.
  • Submit bank payments for approval (suppliers and payroll).
  • Reconcile bank transactions.
  • When required, provide ad-hoc backfill cover of accounting tasks for the subsidiaries.

Process handover, ownership, and improvement

  • Initial handover of processes from existing staff, including accompanying documentation where appropriate.
  • Challenge the status-quo, question, suggest, and implement improvements to the processes.
  • Own and run ongoing processes.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
  • 3 years of using Xero in business.
  • Proficiency in management accounting, financial reporting and analysis and finance business partnering.
  • High proficiency in relevant systems, including advanced Excel capability/experience and experience with Xero or other accounting software and other sub-systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Passion to identify and implement improvements, deliver meaningful impact and results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience using XERO.
  • Must understand Australian financials and tax laws.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with management.
  • Coordination with external parties.

Pay: Php80, Php100,000.00 per month (based on experience).
