US SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT

Work Arrangement: Remote, Fulltime

Shift: 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM | Monday - Friday

About this role. . .

The Senior Tax Accountant handles complex U.S. federal and state tax compliance for individuals, businesses, and trusts. Oversee tax planning, projections, and issue resolution while ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations. Acts as a key liaison with clients and collaborates with U.S.-based teams using cloud accounting tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review U.S. federal and state tax returns for:
• Individuals (Form 1040)
• Partnerships (Form 1065)
• S Corporations (Form 1120S)
• C Corporations (Form 1120)
• Trusts and estates (Form 1041, if applicable)
• Prepare supporting schedules, workpapers, and reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax returns in line with IRS and state regulations.
• Manage client communications via email and (potentially) virtual meetings.
• Assist with tax planning, projections, and estimated payments.
• Respond to IRS/state notices and assist with tax issue resolution.
• Collaborate with U.S. team using cloud-based tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online, UltraTax, Qount, etc.)
• Maintain strict confidentiality and data security standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA preferred but not required)
• 3-5 years of firsthand U.S. tax preparation experience
• Strong understanding of U.S. tax laws and filing requirements.
• Experience with U.S. tax software (any is fine, but we use UltraTax)
• Proficient with cloud accounting tools and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Self-starter with ability to meet deadlines and manage workload independently.
