Job Title: Senior Laboratory Technician

Location: Quezon City (with possible assignment to project site locations as needed)

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Laboratory Technician to join our Construction Materials Testing Laboratory. The role will focus on supervising laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, maintaining equipment, and leading the laboratory team to deliver accurate and timely results.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Civil Engineering or Civil Technology
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a construction materials testing laboratory
  • Willing to be assigned on-site in Quezon City and deployed to various project locations as required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise laboratory personnel to ensure proper testing procedures are followed
  • Develop work plans to improve departmental systems and efficiency
  • Assign and monitor tasks of laboratory technicians and encoders to meet deadlines
  • Ensure test procedures are updated and aligned with customer and industry needs
  • Conduct laboratory tests when necessary
  • Report any factors that may affect test results to the Laboratory Manager
  • Investigate non-complying tests, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions
  • Check and verify computations, worksheets, draft reports, and test reports
  • Oversee maintenance and calibration of testing equipment, including scheduling preventive maintenance
  • Ensure availability of testing materials, tools, and consumables
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness within the laboratory and enforce PPE use among staff
  • Prepare and implement training programs for new and existing laboratory personnel
  • Monitor, coach, and evaluate staff performance
  • Maintain and update documents and records relevant to the laboratory section
