  • Layout multilayer printed circuit boards while meeting established design rules, methodology and quality standards of the Hardware Development process using Cadence Allegro tools.
  • Apply electronic circuit knowledge, specific layout requirements and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) standards to board layout and identifying basic design errors.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to define and verify board outline, mounting holes, keep-out areas and height constraints
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to define project scheduling, parts placement, trace routing and power distribution requirements.
  • Generate schematic drawing, BOM, gerber package, bare board documentation and assembly documentation for PCB manufacturing
  • Propose and implement improvements to the existing CAD process and CAD library standards

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Electronics Engineering or graduate of a related field with equivalent experience
  • Solid understanding in electronic principles of PCB design, particularly for signal integrity and EMC.
  • Competence using PCB CAD tools, preferably Cadence
  • Knowledge in Design for Manufacturing standards
  • Preferably 2 years actively involved in PCB design roles
  • Good written and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience in PCB Library management is a plus
