We are seeking an experienced Tekla Steel Detailer for our Australian client. The role is 100% home-based, fully employed with a great salary and benefits.

Our client, based in Australia, is looking for an experienced Structural Steel Detailer with previous Australian residential experience to join their team and work from home in the Philippines. You will report directly to the Design Manager based in Australia and will be an extension of their team.

Our Client

Our client is an award-winning family business that fabricates structural steel frame and trusses and works with some of Australia's largest and best-known residential builders. They employ over 60 people and have offices and fabrication facilities across Victoria and Queensland.

The Opportunity:

As an experienced Structural Steel Detailer with Tekla you will be responsible for providing technically accurate and cost-effective drawings for steel frame structures, wall frames and structural steel using Tekla. You will be required to identify inconsistencies and errors between architectural and structural designs / specifications and provide alternate design options when required.

About you:

YOU MUST HAVE PREVIOUS TEKLA AND AUSTRALIAN RESIDENTIAL EXPERIENCE.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Structural Steel Detailer, using Tekla Structures

  • Australian Residential Experience

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and standards

  • Excellent working knowledge of steel fabrication techniques and construction methods

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot design issues

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders

  • Tertiary qualification in Structural Engineering, Drafting, or a related field is highly desirable
